Arizer V Tower 5.0 vaporiser design
Arizer V Tower is a less complex, stripped-down version of the Arizer Extreme-Q desktop vaporizer, with the main difference being that the Tower is tube-only, while the Extreme-Q can use both tubes and balloons.
In terms of design, this means that the V Tower looks the same as the Extreme-Q. It has the same cylindrical body on a flat disc with a display and controls on the bottom of the body. The difference between the two is that the Tower has a stainless steel finish instead of the glossy black finish of the Extreme-Q. It’s still an impressive design that could still work for an obscure kitchen appliance.
As the V Tower is a simpler version of the Extreme-Q, it does not have a remote control or a silent airflow fan. However, both vaporizers definitely share an impressive build, as they are very solidly constructed devices that use only high-quality materials.
The construction is housed in two layers of aluminium, making it a lightweight yet robust and durable desktop vaporiser. Since the V Tower is simpler, it comes with a smaller set of accessories and components, making assembly quick and easy.
Features
In addition to the high quality of the assembly, the V Tower vaporizer’s exceptional feature is its price; it is one of the most affordable desktop vaporizers available. In fact, there are mid-range portable vaporizers, such as the Arizer Solo 2, that cost more than the V Tower. Affordability is not always the main consideration when it comes to vaporizers, but in this case it definitely is.
How to use
- Place freshly ground herbs into the black end of the cyclone chamber.
- Connect the white end of the cyclone chamber to the device.
- Connect the hose adapter to the cyclone chamber.
- Turn on the device and select the temperature.
- Once the temperature is reached, inhale from the mouthpiece.
Cleaning and maintenance
The hose only needs to be replaced approximately every two months, but the various glass parts will need to be cleaned fairly regularly. Clean them by soaking them in isopropyl alcohol for about half an hour and then rinsing them with warm water. For more stubborn residues, you can use a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol for cleaning.
Performance
The Tower heats up relatively slowly, taking about five minutes to reach a higher temperature. Yes, it takes a while, but this is standard for most desktop tube vaporizers. The body remains cool during heating, so handling is always safe. The tube can be easily rotated 360°, allowing access from any angle.
Vapour quality
The vapour quality in the Tower is excellent, and it should come as no surprise that it is just as good as in the Extreme-Q.
The glass cyclone bowl and L-connector keep the vapour free of any impurities, and the long three-foot tube keeps the vapour cool. As with the Extreme-Q, the ideal temperature setting is between 775 °C and 200 °C. And as with the Extreme-Q, it’s better to set the temperature a few degrees higher than you want, as the bowl is positioned slightly higher than the heating element.
The draw resistance is low, and although the V Tower lacks a jet fan to push the vapour through the tube, you won’t miss this feature.
